By using Furiganar ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Furiganar is a mobile application that uses AI to recognize Japanese text in photos and provide hiragana and romaji readings. The App is designed to help users read Japanese text — it is not a translation service.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

Readings are generated by AI (OpenAI GPT-4o) and may not always be accurate.
The App may not correctly handle rare kanji, unusual readings, handwritten text, or heavily stylized fonts.
Do not rely on Furiganar for critical decisions (e.g., medical instructions, legal documents, emergency information). Always verify important readings with a native speaker or official source.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service
Submit images that contain illegal content
Use automated systems to access the service at scale

5. Intellectual Property

The Furiganar name, branding, and application code are the property of FLUQS. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without permission.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice.
We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FLUQS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to inaccurate readings or misinterpretation of text.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
